His past experience, provides him a commanding knowledge of architectural design, construction methods and design feasibility. He has a commanding knowledge of energy conservation practices and has demonstrated this by successfully completing the LEED Green Associate exam and strives to implement conservation strategies into each project.

During Scott's time as a volunteer with the Hurley Fire Department, where he progressed to the position of lieutenant and EMT, he learned the value of working with a team and has attained the leadership required to help guide any construction project to a successful completion.

Scott’s dedication to public service and volunteer work extends beyond the fire department. Most notably he was appointed to a volunteer position with the City of Kingston, as a consulting Architect on the Pike Plan Committee from 2015-2017. Scott has also been an active member on the planning committee for the Columbia/Greene Alzheimer’s Walk for the 2016 & 2017 seasons. The ALZ walk is an annual event held at the Dutchman’s Landing in the City of Catskill, with a goal to raise funds and awareness of the disease. The 2017 Walk surpassed all previous walks with a total raised of over $38,000.

Most recently, Scott has been appointed to the International Code Council’s Residential Energy Code Development Committee for the 2018-2019 term. This committee is tasked with the review and evaluation of potential code changes submitted to the ICC by industry professionals. These changes, if approved, will be implemented in the 2021 International energy code. This code is updated every three years and is the foundation for all state and local energy codes throughout the country.
